TAXABLE VALUE PER PUPIL: The district’s total taxable property value as determined by the Comptroller’s Property Tax Division (CPTD), divided by
the total number of students in the district. This per pupil figure is often referred to as “wealth.” Property value is determined by the CPTD as part of its annual study which attempts to present uniformly appraised property valuations statewide. The CPTD value is calculated by applying ratios created from uniform independent appraisals to the district’s assessed valuations.
