From ancient times the word "home" simply meant "that place where you
wish to be." And so today, to the people who call The Woodlands "home,"
it is the place they wish to be. Rarely has a community been created
to offer its residents so many opportunities to live, work, play
and learn in the way they wish. The Woodlands has a full range of
new home choices, from contemporary to traditional, from modest to mansion,
priced from the $90's to more than $1 million. Homes are situated on winding
cul-de-sacs and curvilinear streets in neighborhoods which are designed
and built with respect for the natural environment.
For children, The Woodlands is an outdoor classroom for observing nature
- along the hike and bike trails, in neighborhood parks, even in their
own backyards. For formal education, public schools of the Conroe
Independent School District provide an excellent education in all basic
subjects and foster students' individual development. Montgomery
College, part of the North Harris Montgomery Community College District,
recently opened its new campus on a 100-acre site in The Woodlands. The
initial building phase accommodates 3,600 students. University Center
operates in conjunction with Montgomery College, offering undergraduate
and graduate degree courses of study in collaboration with several area
universities.

is a place where
people can live in
harmony with nature. |
