| The Trees. The abundant towering pines
and majestic oaks that provide havens for birds, squirrels and other wildlife
are also the number one reason why people live here. Resident Holley
Barker likes all the trees because they give her "lots of energy and oxygen."
One visiting journalist nicknamed The Woodlands "The Invisible City."
Believe it or not, there's a thriving, vital community behind those trees. Home Sweet Home. You can choose a new home in The Woodlands priced from the $90's to $1 million or more. You'll find many fine choices of traditional single-family homes, patio homes and townhomes in many neighborhoods. Community Pride. When residents talk about The Woodlands, they beam. Residents are proud of the quality of life in their hometown, and work as volunteers to preserve it. Convenience. You can shop, make that dental appointment, take the kids to soccer practice, go to your aerobics class, take in a concert and do any number of other things without leaving y our own hometown.
The Hardy Toll Road. Aficionados of "The Hardy" say it's
the only way to go to Houston's Theater District, Intercontinental Airport
and the rest of Houston. That is, when you really need to Neighborhood Parks. Everybody has a favorite park and a special
reason they'd never give it up. The frog at Falconwing Park, the
tower at Southshore Park, the waterfall at Mystic Lake - these are a few
of our residents' favorite things.

Deed Restrictions. Deed restrictions,
set forth in The Woodlands Covenants, help keep up your neighborhood. Your
neighbor can't paint his home purple and pink or raise goats in the backyard.
And no RV's are allowed permanent residence in driveways.
Library. You'll want to become familiar with the South County Branch of the Montgomery County Library, located in The Woodlands Town Center near the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Clean Streets. Along the pristine roadways and well maintained pathways, visitors will enjoy the beauty of wildflowers, not litter. Please do your part. Don't litter. Thanks.
The John Cooper School. If a private, college preparatory school is your preference, examine The John Cooper School's offerings for grades K through 12. You'll like what you see.
