The Meeting House offers views of WindRose's numerous outdoor activities: the Junior Olympic pool, the lighted tennis courts, a children's playground and outdoor rotunda, ball fields and the 18-hole WindRose golf course. In keeping with the landscape character established at the WindRose entrance, rose arbors lead to a Welcome Center, which will initially serve to welcome guests and provide information about the community. It will eventually become an additional recreation center for WindRose residents. A WindRose activities director will organize events for WindRose residents, from children's art and computer classes to adult card and crafts clubs to festive concerts and Farmers Markets in the grassy Village Green.
Described as neo-rural architecture by father and son architects Barry Berkus and Jeffrey Berkus, the colorful Meeting House, Welcome Center and Golf Clubhouse include signature elements such as sweeping covered porches and sunny round cupolas topped with custom iron weathervanes of the WindRose logo.
Only the intimate-scale, master-planned WindRose centers around a vibrant, family-friendly recreation compoundthe WindRose Meeting House and Village Green. It's a place where friendships and families will flourish. It's a one-of-a-kind place called WindRose, and its time is now.
