Whether New Territory residents work downtown, in the I-10 Energy Corridor,
or anywhere in the greater Houston area, New Territory's proximity to major
roadways gives them many convenient options for commuting, resulting in
more free time to enjoy the wide range of leisure activities inside the
community.
Located
at the convenient crossroads of U.S. Highway 59 South and the Grand Parkway,
with frontage along U.S. 90A and near State Highway 6, New Territory offers
new homes priced from the upper $80,000's to $800,000's.
The Grand
Parkway is the newest addition to the network of convenient roadways serving
New Territory residents.
"The
opening of the Grand Parkway from U.S. 59 to 1-10 West has been a major
benefit for New Territory residents," said David Jordan, president and
general manager for Markborough, developer of New Territory. "The Grand
Parkway makes it easier for residents to commute to the 'Energy Corridor'
and other employment centers along I-10."
New Territory
is near a number of major highways offering easy access to all parts of
Houston.
U.S. Highway 59, planned for
a major expansion, provides quick and easy access to Interstate 610 and
major employment centers such as the Galleria area, Greenway Plaza, and
downtown. U.S.Highway 90A, which borders New Territory, offers a convenient
alternate route to the Texas Medical Center.
Beltway 8 and the Sam Houston
Tollway offer a direct route to Intercontinental Airport as well as U.S.
Highway 290 West and Interstate 45 North.
State Highway 6, less than
one-half mile from New Territory, provides another gateway to West Houston
as well as to South Houstonand the Clear Lake area.
The continuing economic boom
of the immediate Fort Bend County area surrounding New Territory provides
residents with an increasing number of nearby places to work, shop, and
entertain themselves. The opening of First Colony Mall provides a regional
mall just across U.S. Highway 59 from New Territory, and a growing number
of corporations such as MCI, Fluor Daniel, and Schlumberger are choosing
Fort Bend County for their headquarters or major branch locations.
"Families and companies choose
Fort Bend County because of the quality of life. Fort Bend is growing into
a self-contained region where it is increasingly possible to live and work
in the same area," said Jordan. "Master-planned communities such as New
Territory are a major part of this growth trend."
