KINGWOOD
THE LIVABLE FOREST
Table
of Contents
Kingwood,
"The Livable Forest," lies hidden in the piney forests of northeast Houston.
Called home by more than 50,000 people, the master-planned community of
Kingwood is a unique combination of residential villages, parks, shops,
more than 58 miles of private hike and bike trails and private community
swimming pools.
Kingwood
covers 13,000 acres divided into 14 villages, each with its own neighborhood
association and each with a varying home price scale. One can find homes
from $60,000 to more than $1 million.
Kingwood
is part of the highly rated award-winning Humble
Independent School District, where over 89% of the students go on to
college. Humble ISD serves
more than 18,000 students in its 18 schools that cover a 90 square mile
area.
Kingwood
is proud to be chosen by Southern Living Magazine as the site of a 1997
Idea House. The Village Builders Period Classic home will be open for public
viewing from June through September.
Kingwood's
five picturesque championship golf courses provided the setting for the
hit film Tin Cup.
