You might very well select, as we did, the beautiful site of Clear Lake
City. Because there's just something relaxing about lakes, bayous, streams
and seas, not only for their natural beauty, but because it opens up a
world of sports opportunities. Clear Lake City is the ultimate water
utopia! Swimming. Fishing. Sailing. Boating.
Water-skiing.  Para-sailing.
And along the lakeshores, marinas (including one of the largest yacht basins
in the country) that host festive and traditional sailing and watersports
events. And while we've created a kaleidoscope of fun near the water,
we've also preserved nature's bounty with special places for quiet recreation.
Nowhere is this more magically apparent than in Armand Bayou Park, where
thousands of acres of pro-tected wilderness beckon, for canoe trips and
guided hikes. And the sea calls, too: Galveston is an easy 28 mile
drive away, expanding your horizons even beyond the water wonderland all
