This photograph of Houston, Texas was taken from the Space Shuttle Columbia's cargo bay during STS-73 in October, 1995.
At the bottom of the photo is the silhouette of the shuttle's engine cowling. The highway that is shown encircling the city is the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8). At the top of the image, just above Beltway 8, is the Houston Intercontenental Airport. To the East of the city is the Houston Ship Channel.
