One of the largest and most extensive master-planned communities in Houston, The Woodlands occupies 28,000 acres of South Montgomery County.

Most of The Woodlands is zoned to Conroe ISD, but recent expansions have resulted in some of the newer neighborhoods being zoned to Tomball ISD or Magnolia ISD.
